General Regulations
- The National Performance Awards reserve the right to decline an entry if necessary, with consideration given to fairness and competition integrity.
- The panel’s decision is final. Any communication with the panel regarding competition matters is strictly prohibited.
- The National Performance Awards comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR regulations. A copy of our privacy policy is available on our website.
- Competitors must enter and perform in the correct category for their age. Age is determined as of the competition date. If a birthday falls between registration and the event, the correct age must be provided at the time of booking.
- Competitors must be in good health to perform. Any relevant medical conditions should be disclosed to the organisers. If first aid is required, please notify an organiser immediately.
- Unsportsmanlike or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. The National Performance Awards reserve the right to disqualify an entry on these grounds without refunding entry fees.
- Entry fees are non-refundable. However, if a competitor is unable to attend due to medical reasons, an alternative event may be offered, provided advance notice is given along with a valid medical certificate.
- The National Performance Awards accept no responsibility for the loss of personal belongings or valuables.
- In the event of a fire, please exit the building swiftly and sensibly via the nearest fire exit. The designated assembly point will be announced at the start of the event.
Facilities & Housekeeping
- Competitors and parents are responsible for keeping the venue, particularly the changing rooms, clean and tidy. The event incurs penalties for overstaying the agreed venue hire time, so all attendees are requested to vacate promptly at the end of each day.
- The venue is strictly non-smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes.
- Any accidents or spillages should be reported to organisers immediately to ensure prompt clean-up and avoid additional costs.
Audience Guidelines
- Audience members must only enter or exit the hall between performances or adjudications, as directed by the stewards.
- Mobile phones must be switched off to prevent disruption during performances.
Child Protection Policy
- Photography, filming, or recording of performances is strictly prohibited within the performance hall. Official photographers and videographers will be present. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify the event organiser as soon as possible. By entering the competition, competitors and their guardians consent to being filmed or photographed by media representatives or authorised agents.
- All staff and volunteers are DBS checked and adhere to the National Performance Awards Child Protection Policy.
- Competitors and guardians must acknowledge their agreement with the safeguarding policies and festival rules when submitting their entry form.
Event Information
